Welcome. My father, the Rev. Otis E. Young, served as senior minister of First-Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln, Nebraska, from 1972 until his retirement in 2006. Week after week he wrote and preached sermons that met people where they were, with warmth, honesty, humor and a deep trust in the goodness of God.
This site gathers 1,293 of those sermons, preached from 1965 to 2007. Each one can be read here, downloaded as a Word document or PDF, or viewed as a scan of his original typed manuscript. You can browse them by date, by Bible book, by season of the church year, by theme, or by series.
